對就業年齡中的精神障礙者而言，職能治療師不僅能夠提供日常生活活動及休閒娛樂的部分，更能夠透過"就業"來使其重獲職能角色。就業過程中，職能治療師可以在前端先針對其生理、心理、社會及職涯層面進行評估與晤談，並協助個案連結居住地鄰近就業服務站的職業重建個案管理員協助進行就業資源媒合及評估，使其獲得適合的工作。(補充：不僅可轉介精神障礙者，任何領有身心障礙手冊，有就業需求者皆可至就業服務站接受職業重建服務。
最後，職能治療師除了在前端協助個案釐清未來方向外，在案主就業後也可與職業重建專業人員持續合作提供醫療及職能評估相關資訊，以協助案主能夠穩定就業。
For those job seekers with mental illness, occupational therapist not only can provide ADLs training and recreational support but also can help them to regain their occupational roles through employment. During the process, OT will interview with clients and evaluate them from physical, mental, psychosocial and career aspects; then assist them to incorporate employment matching and assessment in Employment Service Station (ESS) nearby their residence area by the help of vocational rehabilitation staff(VRS).
(Not limited to mentally challenged, whoever has the Disability Card can approach the ESS for Vocational Rehabilitation service.)
Last, aside from helping clients with their future path, OT also cooperate with VRS to provide continuous services in order to assist clients for successful job placement.)
